Cakes

So I don't know if its because I have quite a few weddings to attend or the fact I love those cake shows on the food network, but I have been inspired by cakes. I guess it also had to do with wanting to make cards for those events like birthdays and weddings. This also gave me a little break from my 3D project, which I promise to post more images soon. Hope you guys enjoy and I hope to post more cakes images soon.

WOW its been forever!

I'm really sorry for the lack of new work on here for well, quite some time. Its pretty sad and I guess I haven't really figured out a good way to balance out personal work, actual work, and life. Hopefully, I will figure this out soon.

Since I have some free time now I have been working on a new 3D piece based off of the concept work from my last posts. I have wanted to do this for sometime and have really gotten into this piece.

This is still a work in progress. The lighting is just thrown in there and by no means finished. I still need to model the railing on the tower and have to do the plant life. I also would like to push the shape of the house more. Along with this I am planning on doing all bean stalk and all of its branches that hold up the wrest of the telescopes. I look forward to seeing how this will come out. I must say I like figuring out the puzzle of bring something from 2D into 3D. The challenge of it is so exciting.

Its been awhile since I have posted. I have been working on my portfolio and bouncing around from painting this up and a new 3d project that I will soon post up its progress. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Jack and the Beanstalk

Above is a more updated version of my jack and the beanstalk. I still think there are things that could be tweaked and polished. Any feedback is greatly welcomed.




This is a work in progress . . . I have been working on this piece off and on for a little while now, probably more off than on due to work. But now I have more time on my hands so I hope to finish it soon.

My plan is to finish this black and white rendering and then paint it up with some color. After that I am planning on doing a 3D model of it. I'm excited about this project cause it is something different than what I have been doing at work.

My thoughts behind this piece were that this would be from Jack's perspective as he approaches the giants home. The giant who is in his later years eyesight has started getting bad. So therefore he has created these telescopes and binoculars to help him see any intruders coming his way.

MySims

So I can finally share some of the things I've been doing for the last 7 or so months. Just last week EA announced mySims Kingdom which is game I have been working on. below are a few images from the game. I did work on this level along with my cube mate who is the level artist. I did quite a few of the objects and also did the Castle. Hope you all like and well I just wanted to share. : )

Long time no blog

So I have kind of neglected this for awhile partially do to the lack of motivation after a day at work. I promise now to get back into it again. With that said I am starting off with about a 40 minute speed paint. It was interesting to get back into it cause at work I am so use to graphic shapes and a very stylized project far from realistic. Anywho,let me know what you think and I promise to post more things as I get them done.

Puppet Cart (part 3)

So I have pretty much completed the modeling part of this project. I have gone through procedure and did all the poly clean up checklist. I still need to lay out the uv's. I am pretty happy with this. I am sure if I took a break from it for awhile I could find things to fix or change.
